Our approach

UNILINK is a service business with predominantly digital delivery. Our proposed policy focuses on the sources we can influence directly or through proportionate supplier choices: office energy, business travel, AI and cloud services, electronic records, equipment, e-waste and material procurement.
We will not treat missing records as zero, combine unlike emissions factors without a justified method, or describe UNILINK as carbon neutral, net zero, climate positive, science-based or environmentally certified without reliable evidence and approval.

The plan is designed for a nationally delivered, online-first education service with operating teams in Australia and China.

Responsible AI and cloud use
Review material AI, cloud, software and data-centre suppliers, favouring credible environmental information and proportionate resource use.

Energy-efficient operations
Collect electricity information for Sydney and Xiamen and apply practical switch-off, equipment and office energy-saving measures.

Lower-impact travel
Consider remote participation before approving business travel, then record material travel booked or reimbursed by the covered entities.

Equipment and e-waste
Extend device life where security and service quality permit, and use appropriate reuse, donation or recycling routes for centrally disposed electronics.

Proportionate procurement
Include relevant environmental questions when reviewing material technology, office and service suppliers, without making unsupported claims about them.
