Frequently Asked Questions

Is OSHC mandatory?

Yes. Condition 8501 of your Student Visa (Subclass 500) requires you to maintain OSHC for the entire duration of your stay. Failing to do so can result in visa cancellation.

Can I switch insurers mid-policy?

Yes. As long as there is no gap in coverage between your old and new policy, you can switch at any time. You'll receive a pro-rata refund for unused days.

Is buying through UNILINK different from buying directly?

The price is identical. The difference is that UNILINK provides post-purchase support — claims guidance, GP registration tips, renewal reminders, and transition advice when you switch to OVHC after graduation. We do not charge a broker fee or commission markup.
