Bond University Master of Valuation and Property Development / Master of Valuation and Property Development (Professional): a global applicant's guide to entry, duration and cost

Published:

Bond University offers two coursework master's programs in valuation and property development: the standard Master (1 year 4 months) and the Professional version (92 weeks). Both are taught on campus on the Gold Coast, accept a bachelor degree in any field, and start in September 2026, January 2027, May 2027 and September 2027. The Professional version has a higher total fee and more credit points.

Two programs, one campus

Both programs are Masters Degrees (Coursework) in the study area of Construction, Property, and Planning. Both are delivered on campus at Bond's Gold Coast Campus.

The standard Master of Valuation and Property Development has program code SD-93025 and CRICOS code 085561G. The Master of Valuation and Property Development (Professional) has program code SD-93026 and CRICOS code 085562G.

Bond describes both as leading to qualifications recognised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Australian Property Institute (API) and the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland (VRBQ).

How long each program takes

The standard Master runs 1 year 4 months, which is 4 semesters. The Professional version runs 92 weeks.

The credit load differs. The standard Master totals 120 credit points, of which 90 are compulsory subjects. The Professional version totals 165 credit points, of which 145 are compulsory subjects.

Intakes

Both programs list the same four on-campus starts:

What each program costs for international students

Bond lists international tuition by intake year.

For the standard Master, the 2026 fee is AUD 20,358 per semester, or AUD 81,430 for the whole program. The 2027 fee is AUD 21,285 per semester, or AUD 85,140 in total.

For the Professional version, the 2026 total is AUD 88,230. The 2027 total is AUD 92,250.

Bond notes that these figures are a guide only. Tuition varies with the subjects you choose and the year you start, and the fee that applies is the one for your year of entry.

Academic entry requirements

Both programs ask for the successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, in any field. Your undergraduate major does not have to be property or construction.

One exclusion applies. Neither program is open to graduates of Bond's own Bachelor of Property. Bond suggests those graduates consider the Master of City Planning or the Master of Project Management instead.

Entry from China and Taiwan

For applicants from China and Taiwan, Bond lists a recognised 4-year bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. The same any-field rule and the Bachelor of Property exclusion apply.

English language scores

Bond's listed benchmarks for both programs include:

Bond also accepts other tests, including TOEFL iBT.

Planning your application

Choose the program first, because the two differ in length, credit load and total fee. Then pick the intake year, because the fee depends on the year you start. Finally, confirm that your bachelor degree meets the recognition rule for your country, and that your English results meet both the overall and the sub-score thresholds.

Fees, intakes and entry conditions follow what Bond University publishes for the intake year; the fee and entry conditions that apply to you are those for your year of entry.
