How to read Bond University's Master of Business Administration / Master of Business Administration (Professional) / Master of Business Administration/Master of Project Management requirements as an overseas applicant

Published:

If you are applying from outside Australia, the short version is this. Bond University's Master of Business Administration and its Master of Business Administration (Professional) share the same entry rule and the same English test thresholds. They differ in length, credit points and international tuition. Below, each point is stated as Bond lists it for both programs.

Two coursework masters in the same study area

Both programs are classed as Masters Degree (Coursework). Both sit under the study area Business, Commerce, and Entrepreneurship.

The Master of Business Administration has program code BN-13143 and CRICOS code 108627A. The Master of Business Administration (Professional) has program code BN-13085 and CRICOS code 069029F.

Duration differs between the two

The Master of Business Administration runs 1 year 4 months, which Bond describes as 4 semesters. The Master of Business Administration (Professional) runs 92 weeks.

Credit points: what you must complete

Both programs offer 7 specialisation options. Both include 40 elective credit points, which Bond describes as the part you use to tailor the degree.

The compulsory portion differs. The Master of Business Administration has 80 compulsory credit points, for a total of 120. The Master of Business Administration (Professional) has 125 compulsory credit points, for a total of 165.

Bond also describes personal mentorship from an academic who helps you tailor the MBA to your career ambitions. This appears in the key features of both programs.

Admission: degree and work experience

The admission criteria are worded identically for both programs. You need to have completed a recognised Bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, in any field. You also need a minimum of 3 years of work experience in any field.

Neither program restricts the field of your first degree or the field of your work experience, according to Bond's wording.

Entry requirements by home country

Bond publishes country-specific entry notes. For applicants from China, the qualification listed is a recognised 4 year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree. The same qualification is listed for applicants from Taiwan.

For both countries and both programs, the requirement then repeats the general rule: a recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent in any field, and at least 3 years of work experience in any field.

If your degree came from another country, the general admission criteria above are the ones that apply to both programs.

English language thresholds

Both programs list the same two test options in the portions of the requirement that are given in full.

International tuition for 2026

Bond lists international tuition in Australian dollars. For 2026, the total program fee is AUD 81,430 for the Master of Business Administration. For the Master of Business Administration (Professional), the 2026 total is AUD 88,060.

The two totals reflect the different credit loads described above. Bond notes that its tuition figures are a reference only. Fees vary with the subjects you choose and the year you start, and the fee that applies is the one for your year of entry.

How to use these figures

Use the shared rules first. Both programs need a recognised bachelor degree in any field and 3 years of work experience in any field, and both use the same IELTS and PTE thresholds. Then compare the length, credit structure and fee, since those are where the two programs diverge.

Fees and requirements follow Bond's official figures for the year you enrol.
